Living Out of Gratitude

When Grace Leaves No Room for Comparison Matthew 20:1–16 One of Jesus' most thought-provoking parables is the story of the workers in the vineyard. A landowner went out early in the morning to hire workers for his vineyard and agreed to pay them one denarius for the day's work. Throughout the day he continued to hire more workers—some at mid-morning, others at noon, some later in the afternoon, and even others just an hour before the working day ended. When evening came, something unexpected happened. The landowner paid every worker the same wage. Those who had worked from sunrise expected to receive more. After all, they had carried the burden of the day's labour and endured the heat. Yet they received exactly what had been promised. They became upset—not because they had been treated unfairly, but because others had received the same gift. A matter of the heart This parable reveals something deeper than a disagreement about wages. It exposes the condition...

Celebrating 50 years of God's Faithfulness

Today Lord, all I can say is thank you for your faithfulness in my life, thank you that you are a keeper of your promises. You have kept me alive all these years and I have lived to see my fiftieth birthday. You have blessed my life with abundance in all areas and my heart is full of joy. My heart is full of praise and thanksgiving for all you have done. Father, I thank for the things you have helped me achieve in my life until this point. I would not have done them without your help. You have been an ever present help when I needed you the most (Psalm 46:1). Father, I thank you for sustaining my life through the battles, disappointments, challenges. Your chance of survival was low and the doctors didn’t think you will make it, but God had other plans. You were such a fighter, you fought a hard battle and you won. With God’s help you overcame all obstacles and here we are today celebrating you at 21 years. You are still a fighter because I know the struggles and fears you face every day and your determination to overcome them. Today I celebrate you. I celebrate your determination to survive and thank God for his miracles and making it happen. I celebrate your perseverance and thank God for the strength He has placed in you. I celebrate your bravery and thank God for the courage He has bestowed upon you. I celebrate you and thank God for the joy He has placed in you. Be thankful

The way we choose to see life determines how we feel. If we choose to see our life through the lens of thanks we will be joyful but if we choose to see life through the lens of what I don't have or what I wish I have we will be dissatisfied. When we choose to see or look for God at work in our lives we can't but be "THANKFUL" and be "JOYFUL" When we choose to see or look for God at work in our lives we will find many marvellous things to be "THANKFUL" for. Each day, you can live with thanks - not because your perfect health, not because the perfect bank balance, not because of the perfect house, not because the perfect job, not because of your perfect family. You can live with thanks because you are saved, You can live with thanks because the Lord has rescued you from sin.You can live with thanks because you are loved unconditionally, You can live with thanks because The Lord is always with you, You can live with thanks because Your heavenly Fat...
