Today Lord, all I can say is thank you for your faithfulness in my life, thank you that you are a keeper of your promises. You have kept me alive all these years and I have lived to see my fiftieth birthday. You have blessed my life with abundance in all areas and my heart is full of joy. Sometimes, it’s easier to focus on what we don’t have, rather than what we do have. So on this special day, I am taking time out to remember all of the things I am thankful for that I might have taken for granted. The beautiful world He created and gave me dominion over Being the daughter of the most high God God who loves me warts and all His love that endures forever His presence for He says He will never leave me Jesus Christ who died for my sins so I can have a relationship with God the Father Gift of faith. Dara, I have many so many great memories but the best memory of all was the first time I finally got to hold you. You were so small with tubes in and out of you. Your chance of survival was low and the doctors didn’t think you will make it, but God had other plans. You were such a fighter, you fought a hard battle and you won. With God’s help you overcame all obstacles and here we are today celebrating you at 21 years. The way we choose to see life determines how we feel. If we choose to see our life through the lens of thanks we will be joyful but if we choose to see life through the lens of what I don't have or what I wish I have we will be dissatisfied. When we choose to see or look for God at work in our lives we can't but be "THANKFUL" and be "JOYFUL" When we choose to see or look for God at work in our lives we will find many marvellous things to be "THANKFUL" for.
