Celebrating 50 years of God's Faithfulness

Today Lord, all I can say is thank you for your faithfulness in my life, thank you that you are a keeper of your promises. You have kept me alive all these years and I have lived to see my fiftieth birthday. You have blessed my life with abundance in all areas and my heart is full of joy. My heart is full of praise and thanksgiving for all you have done.


Father, I thank for the things you have helped me achieve in my life until this point. I would not have done them without your help. You have been an ever present help when I needed you the most (Psalm 46:1).

Father, I thank you for sustaining my life through the battles, disappointments, challenges. You have been leading me and holding me by your victorious right hand.

Father, I thank you your presence through all the loss I have endured in my life. You have been my source of peace and comfort.

Father, I thank you for your healing that has freed me from sickness and diseases. I would not have pulled through without your words of assurance and hope.

Father, I thank You for being there during the saddest and loneliest times of my life, and for letting me know in small, yet personal ways, that You were always there for me and heard my prayers.  Thank You for being a God who always listens.

Father, I thank You for Oluwadara, the good and perfect gift from You.  Loving him and being his mother has been so completely satisfying.  You have taught me more about Yourself through the experience of parenthood, for You are the Great Parent.

Father, I thank You for good parents you blessed me with. They were people who loved and respected You, and who gave me a wonderful heritage of their wisdom and strength.

Father, I thank You for my brothers and sisters I gained through the years. They have been a source of joy, strength and comfort in my life. I am so grateful for their love and support.

Father, I thank You for the wonderful relatives and friends who have graced my life through the years, they are truly a blessing to me.

Father, as I start a new year in life, help me keep trusting in You and never stop believing in Your mighty power. You are my God and I have no other and may my eyes be upon You for the rest of my life. I look forward to many more years knowing You have promised me a long and fruitful life. Your plans for my future are perfect and not evil (Jeremiah 29:11). Give me the strength I need to face life in the second half of my life. May I enjoy the beauty that surrounds me each day and to marvel at your goodness in my life. Help me see my life through Your eyes and remember you still have a purpose for me.

Father, fill my days with the joy of your Spirit and keep me in good health always.Grant me Your wisdom to handle my days well and to live a full life.

In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen

Life has a funny way of revealing what’s really inside us. Imagine this: you’re walking back from the office kitchen with a cup of coffee. Someone bumps into you and—splat!—coffee everywhere. You spilled coffee because coffee was in your cup. If it had been tea, tea would have spilled instead. That moment teaches us something powerful: when life bumps us—through challenges, stress, or unexpected situations—whatever is in our hearts tends to spill out. God’s Word is a gift that renews the mind. At the dead ends of life, in the darkness we never saw coming, His Word steps in like a bright light cutting through every shadow. From the very beginning, God’s voice has always made a way where there seemed to be no way. At the edge of the Red Sea, when the Israelites were trapped between deep waters and a relentless enemy, God spoke — and the sea opened. His voice carved a path through the impossible. “Your path led through the sea, your way through the mighty waters, though your footprints were not seen.” — Psalm 77:19 That is who God is.
