50 Things I am Thankful For Today
Sometimes, it’s easier to focus on what we don’t have, rather than what we do have. So on this special day, I am taking time out to remember all of the things I am thankful for that I might have taken for granted.
- The beautiful world He created and gave me dominion over
- Being the daughter of the most high God
- God who loves me warts and all
- His love that endures forever
- His presence for He says He will never leave me
- Jesus Christ who died for my sins so I can have a relationship with God the Father
- Gift of faith. I know that I have been made right with God because of my faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. I don’t have to earn my way to heaven
- His Word that guides me, comforts me and gives me hope.
- His words that will not return empty, but will accomplish what He desires and achieve the purpose for which He sent it.
- He is a promise maker and a promise keeper. He promises to work all things together for our good.
- God’s faithfulness
- God is in control and the purpose of the Lord that will stand.
- My true home is waiting for me
- The Holy Spirit that understands my weaknesses and prays for me according to His perfect will.
- God hears my prayers
- The privilege I have to confidently approach God’s presence
- The trials, setbacks and challenges I have faced because they draw me to Him and made me who I am today - a person totally dependent on God.
- His protection. Jehovah Nissi, the Lord my Banner, goes before me, and I am so glad
- Every day, which is a new day. His grace and mercies are new every morning
- I am alive today, I have this moment and day
- Waking me up every morning.
- Being able to walk, talk and see
- Peace that He gives to me in any circumstance
- My past does not define my future.
- His plans. He is not done with me yet. He created me on purpose, with purpose, and for a purpose
- Life which He wants me to enjoy life. He came so that we could not only have life, but have it to the full.
- He is working everything together for my good always, regardless of whether I can see it or not!
- The kindness and favour I receive from people I have never met before
- My healing and restoration
- Giving me health and strength to take care of my loved ones.
- His blessings, favour and mercies that never runs out.
- The church family he has placed me in. I’m thankful for great teachings that are good for me and for Dara.
- Freedom to worship how and where I want
- The privilege I have to serve Him
- Provision for our financial needs. I’ve had some tough times, but God has always provided.
- The parents He blessed me with who loved me, taught me and supported me.
- My siblings, who support and encourage me. They are a blessing to me.
- Ambreen who has been a pillar of strength
- Dara, the good and perfect gift from God
- The family and relatives he has blessed me with
- My friends I get to care about and who care about me.
- My family and friends always checking in on me and encouraging me..
- The good times I share with my friends and family and the wonderful memories we are creating together
- Photos and the memories they bring back. I marvel at how much we have all changed, and remembering the good times.
- My job
- My work that have been very supportive
- The difficult co-workers that give me opportunities to show God’s grace
- A roof over my head and a warm home.
- The opportunities he has given Dara and I to go away on holidays
- Wisdom and strength He gives me.
