Mum I miss you

Mum, you left this world 26 years ago to be with the Lord but to me it seems like yesterday.

In my life, there is a wound,  it hurts so bad and it always appears when I am sad. No matter what I do it won't go away it's in my heart where it will always stay. It appeared the day you left this world.

The day you left this world there was a big gap in my life, I lost you my mum, who cared for and loved me.

The day you left this world, I was no longer your little girl; I had to grow up fast. The day you left this world; I had to grow up without you being there to turn to.

The day you left this world; I lost my confidant, my encourager and teacher. The day you left this world; I lost my helper who was always there to help solve my problems.

The day you left this world; I had no mum to share and celebrate important milestones in my life with.

Mum, I will always remember your strength. You were a pillar of strength even until the end. Fighting all life's battles, knowing that you would triumphantly win. You taught me that because God lives, I can face tomorrow.

Your faith in God is the most endearing legacy you have left for me. It reminds me to keep the faith and allow God to lead me. Knowing it's through Christ that I can do all things and that because He never makes a mistake, I will come through victoriously. My faith is what keeps me going.

Today I want to take this opportunity to say thank you mum for all that you have done, thank you for taking great care of your daughter and sons. You loved us all
with your warm, kind, and loving heart. You were such an awesome mum and the love you showed us was like no other.

Mum, you will forever be on our minds and in our hearts.

Life has a funny way of revealing what’s really inside us. Imagine this: you’re walking back from the office kitchen with a cup of coffee. Someone bumps into you and—splat!—coffee everywhere. God’s Word is a gift that renews the mind. At the dead ends of life, in the darkness we never saw coming, His Word steps in like a bright light cutting through every shadow. From the very beginning, God’s voice has always made a way where there seemed to be no way. At the edge of the Red Sea, when the Israelites were trapped between deep waters and a relentless enemy, God spoke — and the sea opened. His voice carved a path through the impossible. “Your path led through the sea, your way through the mighty waters, though your footprints were not seen.” — Psalm 77:19 That is who God is.
