God’s Word That Opens Paths Through the Impossible

Image
God’s Word is a gift that renews the mind. At the dead ends of life, in the darkness we never saw coming, His Word steps in like a bright light cutting through every shadow. From the very beginning, God’s voice has always made a way where there seemed to be no way. At the edge of the Red Sea, when the Israelites were trapped between deep waters and a relentless enemy, God spoke — and the sea opened. His voice carved a path through the impossible. “Your path led through the sea, your way through the mighty waters, though your footprints were not seen.” — Psalm 77:19 That is who God is. His Word doesn’t always explain every detail, but it always guides. It doesn’t always prevent the struggle, but it never leaves us to face it alone. Maybe today you’re standing at what looks like a dead end — hoping for a miracle, longing for direction. Don’t lose heart. The Word is still alive, and it still makes a way. Don’t lean on your own understanding. Open the Bible. Inside are promises that do not...

What does “living ready” for Christ’s return look

“Living ready” for Christ’s return is about having a lifestyle and mindset that reflect faith, obedience, and anticipation of His coming. Here’s what it can look like in practical terms: Faithful Relationship with God – Spending time in prayer, reading the Bible, and seeking to know Him more each day. Obedience and Holiness – Living in a way that honours God, and making choices that align with His Word. Love and Service – Showing love to others, helping those in need, forgiving, and being kind. Yo have a heart that mirrors Christ’s love. Peace and Joy – Trusting God in all circumstances, being content, and not being consumed by worry or worldly distractions. Sharing the Gospel – Actively sharing God’s message with others, so that more people can know Him before Christ returns. In short, it’s about living with intentional faith, love, and...

Jehovah El Roi – The God Who Sees Me

She gave this name to the LORD who spoke to her: 'You are the God who sees me,' for she said, 'I have now seen the One who sees me.' — Genesis 16:13 (NIV)  Hagar was in a wilderness—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. She felt rejected, forgotten, and alone. Yet in that lonely place, God met her. He didn’t just see her circumstances; He saw her heart. When Hagar called God El Roi, she declared a truth that still speaks to us today: God sees you. He sees your tears that no one else notices. He sees your efforts when you feel overlooked. He sees your pain when you feel misunderstood. And He sees your potential when you feel like giving up Jehovah El Roi is not a distant God. He is close enough to notice the details of your life and cares enough to act on your behalf. Prayer:  Jehovah El Roi, thank You that You see me even when I feel invisible. Help me to trust Your presence in my wilderness moments and find hope in knowing that I am never out of...

Celebrating 26 Years of Dara: A Mother's Journey of Love, Growth, and Gratitude

Image
Wow—26 years! Where has the time gone? As I reflect on the incredible journey so far, I’m filled with gratitude, pride, and awe at the young man my son has become. The first ten years of our journey were filled with discovery. I was navigating the world of raising a child with a learning disability and on the autism spectrum. I threw myself into countless training workshops, determined to understand the unique and wonderful person you are. I wanted to equip myself with the right tools to be the best mum I could be for you. It wasn’t easy, but I thank God for His wisdom, His guidance, and the amazing friends He placed around me during those formative years. The next two years were a battle—one I fought fiercely within the education system. I was determined to ensure you had every support needed to thrive. During this period, I also had to confront and release my own fixed ideas—that success only came through attending a mainstream secondary school. That was a major internal strugg...

Called by Grace: A Life Chosen by God

Image
“But then God called me by His grace, and chose me from my birth to be His.” – Galatians 1:15 (TPT). There’s a beautiful simplicity in this verse. It’s a reminder that God’s call on our lives is not random. It is intentional, personal, and rooted in His grace.  Before we even took our first breath, God already had a purpose for our lives. This truth resonates deeply with me, as it reminds us that our lives are not accidents, nor are they shaped by chance. Chosen Before Birth The phrase "chose me from my birth" is humbling. It speaks of a divine plan that existed long before I did. Before we took our first breath, God already had a purpose for our lives.  God, in His infinite wisdom, carefully knit us together in our mother’s womb, knowing every detail of who we would become (Psalm 139:13-16). This is comforting and should give you the confidence if you’ve ever felt like you don’t measure up, like you’re not enough, or that your life doesn’t matter. You were chosen—not be...

Celebrating the Goodness of God

Abba Father, life is a precious gift from you and I am thankful and full of gratitude for all you have done for me. You've blessed me, You've kept me under the shadow of Your wings, You've watched over me, You've provided for me, You've been my source of strength, You've never left me, You've comforted me when I was in pain, You've encouraged me when I was worried, You've filled my heart with joy when I was sad. All that I am today and all that I will ever be in life, I owe it all You. Today, I begin another year with confidence knowing You hold my life in Your hands.  Lamentations 3:22-23  The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
