Birthday prayer for my son

My son Dara is 20 years today. As I look back today, my heart is so full of joy and hope because I know the Lord has great plans for him.

Dear Father, thank You for this special day that You chose to be the birthday of this my dear and special child. Lord You scheduled every day of his life from before he was born and have watched over him, and Lord how I rejoice to see him growing up day by day and reaching another milestone in his young life. 

Watch over him I pray and look down on him with Your love and favour. Lord, I ask that as he faces a new year with new opportunities and challenges that You would enable him to grow in wisdom and favour with God and men as he learns to trust in You Lord, with each passing day.

I pray for blessings and joy over Dara. You knew everything about him before his birth and You have a plan of prosperity and hope for his life! Let him feel confident and ready for the year ahead knowing that You have an order to his steps and a purpose for his life. Help him to find joy in every circumstance in life, knowing that You work all things out for good. I thank You for Dara, for loving him with unconditional love, and for the promises You have spoken over his life in Jesus Name, Amen.

Life has a funny way of revealing what’s really inside us. Imagine this: you’re walking back from the office kitchen with a cup of coffee. Someone bumps into you and—splat!—coffee everywhere. You spilled coffee because coffee was in your cup. If it had been tea, tea would have spilled instead. God’s Word is a gift that renews the mind. At the dead ends of life, in the darkness we never saw coming, His Word steps in like a bright light cutting through every shadow.
