Happy 19th birthday to my son

To have a son is to be given one of life’s greatest gifts. Dara, you are my greatest gift from God and I am so blessed that you are mine. I am really grateful to God that I get to call you SON. You are someone I can count on for support, care or when I need to smile. You share what’s in your heart and you have your own special way of letting me know how much you love me. You are a constant source of joy and pride. You are everything any parent could hope for but I am the blessed one who gets to call you SON. Through every stage and at every age I’ve always been amazed by you. I thank God for the young man are – wonderful, brilliant, witty, charming, kind, thoughtful, funny, respectful and loving. Son and on this your special day I celebrate with you as you add another glorious year. God has brought you this far, not man. May you never stop doing God’s will. Happy birthday Son.

Dear Lord, on this day that we celebrate Dara’s birth, I pray for blessings and joy over him. You knew everything about him before his birth and You have a plan of prosperity and hope for his life! Let him feel confident and ready for the year ahead knowing that You have an order to his steps and a purpose for his life. Help him to find joy in every circumstance in life, knowing that You work all things out for good. I thank You for Dara, for loving him with unconditional love, and for the promises You have spoken over his life. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Life has a funny way of revealing what’s really inside us. Imagine this: you’re walking back from the office kitchen with a cup of coffee. Someone bumps into you and—splat!—coffee everywhere. You spilled coffee because coffee was in your cup. If it had been tea, tea would have spilled instead. God’s Word is a gift that renews the mind. At the dead ends of life, in the darkness we never saw coming, His Word steps in like a bright light cutting through every shadow. From the very beginning, God’s voice has always made a way where there seemed to be no way. At the edge of the Red Sea, when the Israelites were trapped between deep waters and a relentless enemy, God spoke — and the sea opened. His voice carved a path through the impossible. “Your path led through the sea, your way through the mighty waters, though your footprints were not seen.” — Psalm 77:19 That is who God is.
