What is Faith
So we don’t spend all our time looking at what we can see. Instead, we look at what we can’t see. That’s because what can be seen lasts only a short time. But what can’t be seen will last forever. (2 Corinthians 4:18 NIRV)
Faith is not denying the reality. It is not pretending you don’t have a problem when you do. It is not saying I am not in pain when you hurt. It is not saying I am happy when you are grieving.
Faith is facing the facts without being disheartened by them because you know God is greater than the problem.
Faith is facing the reality without being discouraged by it because you know God can change a situation.
Faith is looking beyond the circumstances: We fix our eyes not on the seen [the problem], but on what is unseen [God’s power], since what is seen is temporal [the problem] is temporary, but what is unseen [God’s power] is eternal.
