In days of doubt and worry I look at my son and wish things could be different I wish he could read better I wish he could learn things easily I wish he could be more independent I wish he could be more confident I wish he could pick up doing new things easily I wish he didn't find things so difficult But God said "Why do you wish he was different? Today, I celebrate my you, son and I thank God for you I know the battles you fought and won to survive and I celebrate your determination and thank God for his miracles I know the struggles you go through every day and I celebrate your perseverance and thank God for the strength He has placed in you I know the fears you face everyday and I celebrate your bravery and thank God for the courage He has bestowed upon you I see how your face lights up when you accomplish something and I celebrate you and thank God for the joy He has placed in you. His word confirms that He chose us before the foundation of the earth. Long before he laid down earth's foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 1:4 The Message) We have to realise how precious each one of us is to the Lord. It is so important that it should be imprinted in our hearts. We should always remember that: He had us in mind before he made the world He settled on us as the focus of his love He desires a relationship with us He always wants the best for us Why should we worry or doubt God’s love for us when we know all these things. Be rest assured we are special to God, relax and bask in the Father’s love.
