I start today with Praise to the Almighty God I start today with thanksgiving for waking me up I start today in Your presence I start today with an expectant heart because I know you have great things in store for me I start today with You by my side guiding me I start today with Your strength because I know I can’t face it without You I start today with Your peace only You can provide I start today with the assurance that You are with me I start today with the assurance that You will provide all that I need I start today with the assurance that all is well

It's Mother's Day again, and I'm trying to make it through, because this day reminds me of your great love we were deprived of too soon, it  reminds me that death took you away from us too young and it reminds me of all the things I miss about you. Losing you is a pain that cannot be described in words. It is impossible to move on from the memory of losing the woman who sacrificed a lot in her own life so that her children could have a better one. A mother’s love is truly irreplaceable. Even though you are not here with me in the flesh, your love shines in me forever. Even though you are not here with me in the flesh, I still have you in my heart and in my memories. The beautiful memories of the times we’ve spent together makes me smile. I love you mum. Happy Mother's day.

The book of Galatians mainly discusses the differences in living under law and living under grace. By doing what the law commands i.e. by doing the right things cannot make you right with God. You can only be made right with God by having faith in Jesus Christ (Galatians 2:16). We can never be saved or be in God's good standing by obeying the law. We can only be saved by Grace. Grace is our gift from God and He has given it to us not because we deserve it but because He loves us. There is nothing I can do to make God love me more or less. The law tells me how crooked I am. Grace comes along and straightens me out - D.L Moody.

Nothing that happens in our lives is a surprise to the Lord. He already knows and we just need to trust him more. Believe that He is in control of everything. When things seem to be going wrong this is when we need to stand on the Lord's word and trust in him. Jeremiah 17:7-8 - Blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they go right on producing delicious fruits.

Jesus is the perfect representation of what love is. He always acted in love in every situation, even when people came against him. God has shown me what love is by loving me first. My prayer is that I can follow the example of Jesus and live out all the facets of love in my day-to-day life. Love never gives up Love cares more for others than self i.e. not always me first Love does not envy i.e. does not want what it does not have Love is not proud, does not have a swelled head Love does not force itself on others Love does not fly off the handle Love does not keep scores of sins of others Love does not revel when others grovel Love rejoices when right and truth prevail Love bears up under anything and everything that comes Love trusts God always Love is ever ready to believe the best of every person
