Remembering Mum on Mother's day

I used to believe that people didn't need their mums so much after they grew up but I have realised that is not true. I miss you mum always and wish I still had you here so I could ask your advice, to share my life with you, to share the joys and the pain with you, to laugh together at the good times and cry together in the hard times I just wish you were here but I will forever be thankful and grateful to God for the time you were here with me and the time we shared together. When I was a child I never understood that you were looking out for my best even though it may not have seemed so at the time But now that I am a mum too, I realise how difficult it must have been for you to let go, I realise how difficult it must have been for you to stand back and let someone you love learn from their mistakes.
