Dad remembering you is easy, we do it everyday Missing you is the heartache that never goes away Time changes nothing We still miss the sound of your voice We still miss the smile on your face We still miss the wisdom in your advise We still miss your warm and loving hugs We still miss having you in my life So no, time changes nothing We miss you as much today as we did the day you left us and went to be with the Father. The only thing we hold on to is the memories of the time we shared together. Dad we miss you but we don't mourn like one without HOPE because we know we will meet again. Today, I celebrate my you, son and I thank God for you I know the battles you fought and won to survive and I celebrate your determination and thank God for his miracles I know the struggles you go through every day and I celebrate your perseverance and thank God for the strength He has placed in you I know the fears you face everyday and I celebrate your bravery and thank God for the courage He has bestowed upon you I see how your face lights up when you accomplish something and I celebrate you and thank God for the joy He has placed in you. I celebrate you today and thank God for blessing me with a wonderful son.

My sense of significance is not from flitting things that will pass; my job, my home, my car, my wealth My sense of significance comes from God The one who formed me The one who redeemed me The one who loves me and calls me by my name. My sense of significance comes from God The one who I trust The one who will never change The one who knows the worst things about me and still loves me The one who always believes the best about me

His word confirms that He chose us before the foundation of the earth. Long before he laid down earth's foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 1:4 The Message) We have to realise how precious each one of us is to the Lord. It is so important that it should be imprinted in our hearts. We should always remember that: He had us in mind before he made the world He settled on us as the focus of his love He desires a relationship with us He always wants the best for us Why should we worry or doubt God’s love for us when we know all these things. Be rest assured we are special to God, relax and bask in the Father’s love.

As you look back at 2014, you will remember all the things you were believing God for that still haven't happened. You might try to reason it out and make sense of it but you can't. Instead of getting frustrated or discouraged, trust that God is working on it because He is a God who is faithful to keep His promises. Do not allow the enemy steal your joy by focusing on those things you are still believing God for but focus on all the things God has done for you in the year 2014. Do not start the New Year off with frustrations. Do not carry bitterness into your season of new beginnings. Trust God and believe He is working things out for your good. Keep on believing, keep on praying, keep on trusting and keep on hoping. Let go of what didn't work out in 2014 and get ready for the new season God has for you in 2015.
